The Polish Złoty is the official currency of Poland. The modern złoty was reintroduced in 1995 at a rate of 10,000 old złotych after hyperinflation in the post-communist transition era. Poland has one of the largest and most dynamic economies in Central and Eastern Europe and is an EU member that has not yet adopted the euro.
