The Belarusian Ruble is the official currency of Belarus. The current ruble (BYN) was introduced on 1 July 2016 after a redenomination of 10,000:1 to replace the old BYR. Belarus maintains close economic and political ties with Russia, and the ruble is influenced by its trade relationship with its larger neighbor.
